Hello All,
I was amazed to find an old video of myself wrestling at Blackpool Winter Gardens with Bobby Barron's daughter, Sarah Robbins on You Tube. It was wonderful to watch it and it brought back some fabulous memories. That was the only time Sarah and I worked together as I was always paired with Tracey Kemp. We worked together every Saturday and Sunday at the Horseshoe Showbar on the Pleasure Beach. We made the centre pages of a Scottish paper as the first female wrestlers in Kirkcaldy and felt like celebrities - I can add this to this thread if anyone is interested to see it. I also have photos of us wrestling in Blackpool. Unfortunately Bobby passed away and Tracey became pregnant so I didn't have a partner to wrestle or make any progress with. I hoped Brian Dixon might pick me up but there didn't seem to be any interest. My wrestling career just fizzled out as I was gaining my confidence in the ring and I always regret that it didn't go any further. I absolutely loved my time in the ring and feel very proud that I experienced it. Perhaps I should make a come back?!?!
I am absolutely loving every second of my training but yes, it’s hard work. Lots of aches and pains, grazes etc. but it will be worth it to get back in that ring at least one more time.
