In the early 1960's there was quite an Influx of Wrestlers from Overseas into
British Rings!-Some were Moribund and largely Forgettable-Others were really
Skilful and Charismatic Performers who very quickly became liked and favoured
by British Fans!
Spanish Heavyweight FELIX LAMBAN fell firmly into the latter category!
A tough Sturdy Character-he could certainly Wrestle with a high degree of prowess
and easily made most of the Lady Fans-possibly some of the Men!!-just being fair!!-
swoon a bit with his Latin Charm and Hollywood Looks!!
Campaigning here mainly in 1962-FELIX took on our Top Mat Men and acquitted
himself very well! As well as his Persona he had the Ring Attire to match and was
a Colourful Addition to the Wrestling Bills on which he Featured!!
Did Anyone see FELIX Wrestle?
Photo/Programme/Bill to follow!!
MAIN MASK
Expect St Clair Gregory crushed Ali Bey in the main event
This Wolverhampton bill seems packed with impressive wrestlers
Thanks so much for posting this. Spanish Wrestling Ring is a very special subject. They sure have great traditions. Does anyone remember Hercules Cortez who was Spanish "world champion wrestler" in the 60s?
