Probably a Theme discussed in the past in the Forum-but thought to
revisit after watching an ABE GINSBERG Match recently!
KENT WALTON tells us that ABE was the Most Disqualified Wrestler
during the Golden Age! Don't know if he meant on Television or across
the whole Spectrum?
MY Candidate for this dubious 'Honour' would be IAN 'BULLY BOY' MUIR-
but Who's YOUR Nomination?
MAIN MASK
Thanks Main Mask.
Good to be back.
Was away in Germany for a while.
As you will see I now have my old user name back too - Power Ranger.
Also ......................
I should ideally have added 'Haystacks' to the chuck out list as well.
Good wishes.
Steve.
Hi there wrestling fans,
Great to be back here once again.
As for the most disqualified I would have to agree with MAIN MASK in saying that in my honest opinion Ian "Bully Boy"Muir has to be top of the chuck out list.
Might I add "King Kong Kirk" and Peter "Tally Ho" Kaye to the directory of next most disqualified.
Tally Ho Kaye, Skull Murphy and Banger Walsh were disqualified more often than not
Hi Dave, I think that Chick Purvey is a good shout for the most disqualified non heavyweight that I saw.
Because of the longevity of his career I would agree Jack Pye is probably the "winner". Ian "Bully Boy" Muir was a wrestler I never saw actually win, and his defeats were always due to a disqualification. Johnny Yearsley and Sailor "Tug" Holton were others who were regularly sent back to the dressing room in disgrace.
Welcome back Philip. Hope you had a great holiday. Now back to winter in Europe. When I made my nomination I did think it's time Phil was back because I was sure you'd go for the Pyes too.
I only ever saw Dominic disqualified. He wasn't exactly a subtle villain.
I would also go for Jack Pye, mainly because of his lengthy career, with his Son Dominic coming in a close second.
Cheers
Fred Van Lotter was often diqualified.
Chic Purvey or Bruno Elerington
I was going to say Syd Cooper, and possibly Scrubber Daly
My own experience.....Hans Streiger
My vote goes for Dirty Dominic Pye.
Johnny Yearsley certaibly up there. And Roy Bull Davis.
Syd Cooper, too.
I should think Jack Pye would be a candidate, especially because of his length of career.
If you want to talk about mere mortals, Jim Hussey, Alf Rawlings and Bill Benny would be up there.
