Yes, I witnessed a fight break out at Liverpool Stadium, between two female punters who both fancied the same wrestler. (I won't name him) but most of the audience showed more interest in the fight on the "outside" than the one going on in the ring at the time!

Yes - Nagasaki-haters versus Nagasaki fans quite often at the turn of the 80s/90s, especially if Rocco was the opponent. Two of them had to be pulled apart not five feet away from me at Croydon one time.
Have seen a Kendo fanclub newsletter from the mid 70s where George gives the fans some advice on how to cope with hassle from "the other so-called wrestling fans" without getting himself and Kendo into trouble with promoters.
I would think that arguments and fights did occasionally break out especially at venues with alcohol licences or with close proximity to a pub. When you think how many shows have been held over the years it must have happened albeit rarely.
I wouldn't have thought so. Everyone cheered the blue-eye and everyone was outraged at the villain's heel tactics. In 1989 a few of us cheered Blondie Barrett on against Danny Collins but it was all light-hearted banter and no antagonism.
this subject is quite ENTERTAINING !!!

Around 1970 Chorley Town Hall. Fighting during the tag match, chairs thrown, police called. That was the end of wrestling at Chorley Town hall.
