In the early 30s we had 3 major organizations of pro wrestling:
NWAssn ("nationwide"), AWA of Boston (historical world title) and MWA of Columbus (it's where I live).
No one cared about "who of those three was the real champ"...people attended the shows...or read reports/articles in newspapers and by any other word had a good time. That is all it is about. Pro wrestling is entertainment and always was, so people should relax and enjoy the show. We always hope that we have GREAT ACTORS in the show...just like in the movies we like those more which have the best actors. Yet we still watch "any" movies...simply because we like movies in general...not watching only "superstars" movies.
Good quality pro wrestling is like a good movie - you want to watch it over and over again.
This is how it is to me.
In Mexico I believe they still call pro wrestling a "sport" and major sporting publications cover even regular matches etc.
Things do not change and there's nothing new under the sun as we know...Nikolay Valuev wasn't a boxer either...yet we had him as the world hwt champ boxer...another Russian Angel.
NWAssn was just one "another" organization which claimed to care about sport etc. But realistically NWA was branch of NBA...and Primo Carnera was a boxing world champ. We all know he wasn't even a boxer. But his popularity made promoters to put the world title on him...so it's all GOOD.

Eventually, the NWAssociation felt Londos wasn't getting enough recognition for his splinter claim so they sent a lighter wrestler to assault Sonnenburg so as to discredit him. This rattled Sandow enough to switch his version of the title to Ed Do George which in turn irked Strangler Lewis enough to threaten to double cross George out of it ("We can do this the easy way or the hard way.") which in turn led to the "battle of the bite" Henri DeGlane double cross and Lewis going off to Europe for a year before defecting to the NWAssociation side.

Londos's style reminds me a lot of Rikki Starr. In ring niterview at the end is probably the world's earliest surviving pro wrestling promo.
