In the early 30s we had 3 major organizations of pro wrestling:
NWAssn ("nationwide"), AWA of Boston (historical world title) and MWA of Columbus (it's where I live).
No one cared about "who of those three was the real champ"...people attended the shows...or read reports/articles in newspapers and by any other word had a good time. That is all it is about. Pro wrestling is entertainment and always was, so people should relax and enjoy the show. We always hope that we have GREAT ACTORS in the show...just like in the movies we like those more which have the best actors. Yet we still watch "any" movies...simply because we like movies in general...not watching only "superstars" movies.
Good quality pro wrestling is like a good movie - you want to watch it over and over again.
This is how it is to me.
In Mexico I believe they still call pro wrestling a "sport" and major sporting publications cover even regular matches etc.
