We All know MARTIN CONROY!-A Wrestler of not inconsiderable Skill around the HEAVY-
MIDDLEWEIGHT Bracket in his own right in the 1940's!-He Worked for ARTHUR WRIGHT
and was a very Loyal Servant of WRYTON PROMOTIONS for at least 25 Years and was still
Wrestling himself in 1960!!-In his other 'Role' he was also a very well-known Referee in the
1950's/1960's/ and 1970's at many of the Top Wrestling Arenas-including the Iconic KINGS
HALL BELLE VUE!
I saw him many times-and he was always very Smartly Dressed-often with a Dickie-Bow-
and very Professional!-At WRYTON STADIUM BOLTON-One of my Regular 'Haunts'-he did
a lot of MC Work as well!-In my view MARTIN was a Fabulous Ambassador for the Sport of
Wrestling and a very Important Personage for WRYTON!

I also have another question. Did Martin Conroy own any champion belt? He was longtime associated with the Wryton Promotion. But according some info he sometimes would give independent promoters his own personal trophies to use for their champs. Thanks.
In the 1950s Martin Conroy was welter-weight champion. Not sure what title it was British/Euro/World. Dear Experts please advise. Defeated J. Dempsey for title. Question is which title. To the best of my knowledge Jack held all three.

I agree with your sentiments about Martin Conroy Main Mask. He was the referee when I started going to Southport, then soon afterwards became the MC.
