A good friend of mine, who actually qualifies as being Anglo-Italian shared with me a reference to this amazing wrestling video in which famous British wrestling star Adrian Street plays the medieval pro wrestler. The video is from 1972 Pasolini movie called The Canterbury Tales which is based on G. Chaucer's work of the same name. Enjoy the video.

Haha, thanks. They lifted the terminology from wrestling!

You've filled a gap for me there, Ruslan. In about 1971 Adrian gave me his signed photo of himself, from memory on horseback, in this film. The film is named and I never managed to locate it, so thank you. Still got that portrait card somewhere.
Moreover, you intrigue me: "...qualifies as being Anglo-Italian." I am wondering what the pre-requisites are? From the words it looks like you have to be English (not British) and Italian in some kind of way. The expression remains interesting in that it only ever seemed to have been used, in the sixties and seventies, in wrestling, though I may well be mistaken. Certainly not in other sports. I don't recall Christopher Lee or Mr Profumo ever being described as Anglo Italians.
