The most historical and very prestigious (some called it undisputed) pro wrestling (catch-as-catch-can) title in America since 1919 was the world heavyweight championship of the American Wrestling Association of Boston, MA. That organization's boss was a famous American pro wrestling promoter Paul Bowser. The AWA didn't have their own championship belt, and for their champions they used a trophy which was known among the wrestling fans as 'LEWIS BELT'. In 1935 the new first official AWA Belt was introduced.
