Not sure if anyone here was going to shows at the time, but if so, would love to read any recollections of this feud and the unmasking, if it registered with you.
`Yes indeed, I was there aged 12 along with my Dad. We had seen the Tag Team matches with these two at The Metropolitan Edgware Road but finally this 'unmasking' match came around. It was so noisy inside that at the end of 15 gruelling rounds I couldn't make out Judo Al Hayes name on the PA system - only heard the name 'Al'. The Doctor came down the centre aisle behind the American flag whilst The White Angel came from the side. It was an amazing night for a young 12yr old boy. Every contest was a worthy billing but if I remember rightly Professor Add Wasser came back into the Ring to re-set his opponents arm - or that's what a 12 year old boy thought. Great to watch White Angel with his aeroplane spins to get out of a head lock.
Thanks , but also yourself Sax , you have been about much longer than I and you always find the time and enthusiasm to look in when at home. WE have undone many a mystery in small groups , I think it was Ray Hulme that said "this was this site at it's best"
Main Masks treasures are fantastic , my mere newspaper cutting can only compete by virtue of the ability to track wrestlers movements. The sum of the parts is to behold. That goes for all Forum Posters.
A big thanks to Main Mask, Ron Historyo, The Ost, and all others who contribute their time, uploading posters and magazine pages here.
Also, as always, many thanks to Hack for his unstinting service in keeping this great site going, along with his assistant, whose name escapes me at the moment.
Main Mask you are doing an outstanding and generous job, sharing these gems.
The above is a milestone in the history we describe. Very important contribution.
I do call upon all those many of you who view these posters, even if you have no content to add, at least to thank Main Mask in this forum for his unstinting enthusiasm and genrosity.
The same goes of course also for Ron and all those others who add fascintaing galleries - that take so much TIME - and even, perhaps, for those who keep this site going.
But here on the forum, for several DAILY surprises and stoushes and scandals and suspicions - if you have time to look in, take time to acknowledge, please.

Omitted to state the obvious:

I always thought the funny thing about this pair was that their masks were in exactly the same style and clearly made from the same template.
