I found these (1963) Belgian posters to be all over the place!
A few well known wrestlers, and several, who? Floyd Patterson jnr. no, dates don’t add up. By that picture, an emancipated Baron. Craziest of all the Fargos were cowboys, you know, wearing cowboy gear, the guys borrowing the name this time around usually played Russians. The Vikings = Nick and Jerry Kozak, however those aren’t the Kozacs, that is Handsome Johnny Barend and Magnificent Maurice, (Buddy Rogers sidekicks especially in the New York area). Good old Chichi eh?

Again, some names that Heritage members know. But, Ezzard Charles? We know that he, Jersey Joe and the Brown Bomber Joe Louis, reffed a few and of course Jack Dempsey virtually had a second career as Main Eventing as a referee, probably to the detriment of the wrestlers he appeared with (he was probably getting more dough than the workers, while putting few extra bottoms on seats). An aging Ezzard would be giving up a lotta, lotta weight to that masked man, (who could have been almost anyone) if that is indeed who he fought. C.von Kramer may have been Karl with a K., but the Blue Angel and Chichi pops up again? Once again, Nick Kozak looks as though he’s dropped thirty pounds of weight in the accompanying picture.

At last, a modicum of sanity. Gilmour, Boscik and Jeff Kaye, in semi final position, on a six match card! Malmoa, I have no idea!

Why do we always seem to see Belgian bills from north Flanders? We've seen Ostend and Ghent and, here, Antwerp over the years. I wonder what the Brussels scene was? The very central capital in a small country makes Brussels easily accessible from all angles. Can we imagine the four Brits were on a tour and appeared on tv and at Brussels' equivalent RAH? Maybe this Saturday bill marked the end of a week in Belgium?
PS Bobby Shane could easily have been one of "ours".
