Not sure if we have talked about this before (did a quick search but didn't see anything), it's highlights footage of Big Bruno Elrington facing Shozo (Strong) Kobayahshi in Tokyo, December 5th 1969.
As far as I am aware, the result is a double countout or no contest.
Ian Campbell enters the fray at the end, which sets things up nicely for a tag team match, the following night, Elrington and Campbell taking on Kobayashi and Toyonobori (with the local lads winning).
Every time I see Bruno take the backflip, I am visualising the yen that made it worth it.
Really enjoyed that , and Bruno and Campbell took some beating as big men.
When Angus and Kirk came along we had some great guys that did not need to be champs. It makes me wonder how we had to go down the road of Daddy and Haystacks.
Yes, taking big bumps for the local lads!
Great to see Bruno so active!
