A great picture of Rollerball Rocco with his father, Jimmy Hussey. They look like brothers, as opposed to father and son! Rollerball Rocco, hugely talented as a wrestler and a fantastic pioneer of the sport. When interviewed, he came across as a genuinely nice guy. Sadly, it’s hard to believe that the true all time greats of the squared circle are no longer with us.
Yes, and they had Lou Marco reffing there too. Makes you wonder what that was all about, but he was a big name I suppose and a draw in his own way.
But why bother?
Looks very Wryton to me Anglo , but it was so well shared at Belle Vue I for one never noticed any difference.
Real beauts, Main Mask.
Lovely grouping.
Seeing that Belle Vue bill, with Burley Barry on it, I'm wondering if the promoter was Relwiyskow, as we have been discussing elsehwere.
Barry didn't play away much.
Marvellous collection MM and great choices indeed for iconic windows in time.
And a little reminder discussed on another thread this week that Dick and Jessie Rogers were running Belle Vue. There is a story in that there somewhere. When Joint was formed in 52 they carried on , but were they out on a limb , how did it all work.
And the Programme Cover from that Nite 75 Years ago at BELLE VUE!...
