Greetings again grapple fans.
I am trying to trace a couple of wrestlers who as far as I can remember only made occasional appearances in the 1980’s on the ITV World of Sport wrestling, but If either of the above-mentioned names are known to anyone, then where are they now?
Incidentally, I was recently watching a utube match that featured Blu Buchanan v Danny Collins if that might jog any memories, but I have little to go on with regards to Blake Donovan.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Steve.
Blu buchanan is my dad. Son of Princess Paula step son to fit finlay and my mum was Tracey kemp known as teenage Tracey.
Thanks Peter.
I will have a look at this match on Utube.
Steve.
Buchanan also had a match in Wales now on You Tube
Thanks for your comments guys.
As for Blu Buchanan being the stepson of Dave Finley, I had absolutely no idea, so thanks Saxonwolf for putting me in the picture.
And yes Graham, the match between Blu Buchanan and Danny Collins was a good one, but sadly that was the only time I have seen him on TV wrestling.
Would love to have seen more of him to see for myself how his wrestling skills progressed over the years, but I was sadly robbed of that opportunity.
Just a shame that no one seems to know what happened to him.
Still somewhat confused about Blake Donovan too.
Steve.
I remember watching the televised match Blu Buchanan versus Danny Collins. It was a good match.
Blu Buchanan was, if I remember correctly, the son of Princess Paula (Paula Valdez) which made him the stepson of Dave "Fit" Finlay, when they were married. I don't know what happened to him.
I believe Baron Donovan made a TV wrestling appearance for Crabtree in a typical Big Daddy tag match. His real name was Bill Bennett from Southport where he worked as a chiropractor. Martin Conroy imaginatively put an e on the end of his surname and billed him as Bill Bennette from Vancouver but Max Crabtree invariably used him as Donovan with christian names alternating between Baron and Detroit.
