So, this is Henry/Harry Purvis and if so, how often did he travel overseas?
In Ron's 'On the Trail of Giant Anaconda' I noticed the chap was connected at one time or another with Hammersmith (My maternal Great Grandfather lived there most of his life). Ealing (I lived there briefly as a child) Uxbridge (two aunts and uncles lived there for most of their lives). Hayes (I lived there in '72). I can't claim a connection with Norwich, although I was invited up to Brian Trevor's place for a try out, by his rather nice sounding daughter.
So that was nice!

Theeee Mountevans British Empire Heavyweight Championship became a Commomwealth championship like the other Empire championships and was finally taken home by Count Bartelli after his retirement match in 1986 on Screensport.
1933 Doug Clark claimed to be Btitish Empire Champion.
By 1938 Earl McCready was claiming it,
So Count Bartelli was a visionary with his Commonwealth title!
The present day promotion BEW promoting mostly in Mitcham calls James Mason British Empire Heavyweight Champion!
