A little unfortunate Spike should say he wanted to forget, but you can understand the sentiment on a personal level and it wouldn’t be something one would want to resurrect, at this time of Spike’s life.
I only remember Spike billed as Martin Robson and saw him topping Independent bills at Preston Public Hall in the early to mid 1960’s. A good wrestler.
He looked very good in Australia during the 60s when I saw him. Usually he was accorded the chance to show off his skills against the Americans, (albeit in losing) unlike many of the Aussie club wrestlers, who were used as gun fodder generally, by their much bigger opponents.
V,ery good wrestler and good hearted man. I was on a couple of bills with him when I was starting out in wrestling about 60 years ago in Manchester. Jimmy Lewis introduced me to him in the changing room just bfore he went on to fight.
I wonder if he has ever talked about this?

Great news!
