Dear Friends, research never stops, I never give up.
Almost sure that the Kellet belt pic shows him as a cruiser-weight champion of Europe. Below is my little summary on "Golden Greek" Mike Demitre with the same Relwyskow Belt (aka Marty Jones Belt) and it looks like it was symbolic of Euro cruiser-weight even in the 1940s.
Don't quite understand the sequence but it seems Les Kellett won it. (From Ray's index)
GLASGOW .... Masambula bt Dai Sullivan-DISQ .... Vic Stewart bt Kellett .... Elmo Lincoln 1-0 Alf Cadman .... Vic Stewart 1-0 Masambula .... Kellett bt Lincoln .... Kellett bt Vic Stewart
Hi Ron, and thanks so much for sharing here the results of the 1953 Glasgow Coronation Tourney. Appreciate that a lot. They advertised 6 matches, and it looks like they they were making the draw after each round was played to figure out new pairs to wrestle. But yes, that's just my guess. If it was a Relwyskow show then definitely one of the family belts was used as a trophy. Kellet winning the title doesn't surprise me either around this time the stalwart son of West Riding of Yorkshire was often billed as of Scot from Edinburgh, lol. There's a pic of Les with one of the Relw's belts (this one fans call Marty Jones Belt because it was symbolic of the world mid-hwt title which Marty held many times and for many years). In 1956-58 Kellet also held Relw's "Euro cruiser-weight title" and prior to that "British cruiser-weight championship" and I am sure there definitely were "belts" for these titles as well.

KELLET WINS EURO CRUISER-WEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP.
A lot younger than we remember him but very rugged. Great Picture.
