I was Watching One of My DVD's the Other Day and came across a Bout I didn't Remember
I had!- 'Tis a Tag Match between The DANGERMEN- COLIN JOYNSON and STEVE
HAGGERTY and The HORNETS!- Comprising of a Young MARTY JONES and DANE CURTIS!!
JOYNSON was being Very 'Villainous'- HAGGERTY was being HAGGERTY!
Now even though The HORNETS Lost This Match- I was Really Impressed with The Wrestling
Skills of DANE CURTIS- a Wrestler I didn't Recall Ever Seeing Live!
Here he is Below On a Bill Dated for Tomorrow-27TH APRIL at DIGBETH CIVIC HALL in with
MARK ROCCO!!- Having just Seen This Tag Bout Featuring CURTIS- I Bet This Bout against
ROCCO would have been a 'Cracker'!!
Did Anyone See DANE CURTIS Wrestle Live then?-What were your Impressions?

After contributing that I only saw Dane Curtis wrestle live once, I now recall a second occasion involving The Broughton Rangers (Johnny South and Paul Mitchell) at The King's Hall, Belle Vue. I forget The Broughton Rangers' intended opponents although it was probably The Rochdale Hornets. Anyway, South and Mitchell ended up wrestling Dane Curtis and Jack Robinson in what I recall to be an entertaining contest. Robinson is another vastly under rated wrestler. He was a little wary about working for the independents as he was getting good regular work in the mid 70s from Max Crabtree but I did persuade him to turn out once for me. I promoted him against Woody Waldo in a fast-moving little encounter at The Champness Hall, Rochdale. Occasionally Conroy in particular used to match him against heavier opponents (Heath, Maxine, Martinelli, Conneely) and he always seemed to give a good account of himself.
I forget who was unable to turn up one Saturday night to wrestle Abe Ginsberg at a Morrell and Beresford show at The King's Hall, Belle Vue, but Jack Robinson showed up last minute as Ginsberg's opponent and the two of them made a credible fist of it.
