I am sure I can find a few more , but just a couple of things. If we collect all Dave Jons bills 1948-early1952 then the number of times he would have wrestled would be perhaps 600-1000.
We would be lucky to get 200-300 in my view.
Also I have tried hard on this one and Dave Jones was David A J Jones . He only travels as David Jones , so if his death only got registered as David Jones we are not very likely to find it. Even those born 1922 , there are hundreds. Thus far I have looked in USA and Britain and don't see "AJ" that would fit. One wonders why wrestlingdata have him age 101.
Yes Ron, the 1000 matches would make sense, even though we might count from sometime in '48 -'52, that would still only be a schedule of a bit over 200 matches a year, or a little under 4 a week. (Holidays and injuries, not included) It does mean however, we should have many, many, many more matches, for all those guys who wrestled for a decade or more. The hole we're digging is getting bigger by the moment!
