There was a couple of matches in Derry in 51 and 52, showing a Des Jons and Des Johnson, who I originally thought might be Dave, however Des Johnson popped up in N.I. In '54, when the 'Greenwich Adonis' was ensconced in the States.
So, far from comprehensive, no '47, where did he get to in '52, as he was well and truly established as part of the British wrestling scene. If he had decided to chase the Yankee dollar in'53, where is his name on the bills and programs, for the best part of '52. Did he have a business (gym or health centre) and devoted time to seeing that everything was running smoothly, so he could flit off overseas for eighteen months (as we're led to believe)? If that was the case, surely he could have wrestled on a part time basis, even if it was local to home?
We know he stayed overseas for the best part of four years. Did he return home, ever?
Well John . the Dec 52 bill at Wimbledon did say "Just back from Spain".
Whilst in USA he did say he wanted to do India but also come home.
But it's hard to account for how he could just go missing at age 34 , having done several interviews and never seemingly get into the press again.
Looks like one of those men that left wrestling for good.
And then the big question is Why does Wrestlingdata say he is age 101
Tunbridge Wells in January was actually the 21st and Jons fought Assirati
Croyden 4th Feb Jaques La Rouche
Belfast 8th Feb Mike Marino
Tunbridge Wells 31st March Charlie Fisher
Bedford 1st Dec Pat O,Reilly
