Here are a couple of articles Doug & Joe Robinson. No relation to Billy of of course, predominantly Judo men they did spend a brief spell in the wrestling squared circle.
The entry for Joe on Heritage has been much improved since my early efforts some years ago now. On the wall of Joe's gym in Brighton was a framed poster for his Albert Hall match with Cadier. I wonder what ever happened to that. But framed on my wall is an original Prof. Jack Robinson Dan grade certificate ( signed by Joe rather than the Prof ).
Among the many yarns that Joe spun me was that when Errol Flynn visited London Oakeley was seriously up for asking him to wrestle Joe on one of the big shows. Joe had to point out that even if the star agreed the money he would ask would break the bank.
Great stuff. As a young lad, I would dash home from school, at lunch time, on a Friday, and my mum would have been to the shops to buy TV Times, I used to love seeing who would be wrestling on World of Sport, the following day.

Doug appears as a credited heavy in the 1961 film Never Back Losers with Jack Hedley

A great find. Thank you. Here they are on Heritage

Both men must have been very popular around this era to have 2 double page features about them in such a popular magazine.
