I recall watching Mike and Colin Bennett tagging together on a Morrell and Beresford promotion at The De Montfort Hall, Leicester, in my university days at the city (1972-1975). Their opponents were Jon and Pete Lapaque. I'm not quite sure now how M.C. Ernie Lofthouse announced it, but I thought I was seeing a battle between two teams of brothers.
Kent Walton did refer to the fact that they were brothers. Mike won a TV award as an 18 year old in 1964. Vanished for a time, then came back as "Marvellous Mike" a tremendous heel turn.

Another website claims that this January 1965 broadcast achieved the highest non cup final day viewing figures of the 1960s for Professional Wrestling

Hello all
Colin was not his brother sorry to disappoint. Cousins.
As to Dad he is alive and well here in Australia with me, though not as fighty nowadays.
Another impressive wrestler -could have gone much further
Also “Fire Prevent It”, emblazoned across his trunks.
Colin used to enter the ring in his fireman's helmet and jacket!
Mike was an exceptionally good wrestler.Did they ever appear as a tag team?
