Honestly, I’m not trying to lower the standards or tone of Heritage. However Joe was quite explicit in his explanation of the title of his literary effort. Now, I’m all sure we’ve seen the accompanying photo on more than one occasion and clearer copies as well, but I’ve not taken a great deal of notice until now, Joe, presumably setting up a folding body press, or a rarely seen piledriver, but look closer to the position of his right hand. Joe seems to be contemplating “should I, or shouldn’t I. It’ll be a laugh’’.
Actually it was never in me, to blame Joe for the contents (the racier parts). I can imagine the publisher told him something along the lines of “sex sells, wrestling doesn’t “ I’m surprised someone didn’t make a film of the book, with Robin Askwith, the 70s go-to lead actor for the type of movie ‘Thumbs Up Joe’ would have been in those days.
