I joined the police and went back to Judo. I kinda realised that the pro game, at that time, was dead on its feet in the UK and wrestlers were pretty well controlled. I had great respect for many of the guys. Its a hard job to learn that's for sure. It was a great experience but I had a baby in the way, a wife, who was about to give up work and a mortgage to pay. 30 years in the police. Lots of pavement wrestling to be had there.
I look at footage of 1930 s Pro wrestling. Nowadays they call it mixed martial arts which is something else I got into. I hope the guys are all OK. They were good times.
Good to hear from you Mr.Brooks.Pleased you have had a good life.
Great stuff!, how did you get into the Pro game?, who got you in, where did you train?, also (although not as interesting for some on here, but it is for me), where did you train for MMA?, I did some of that, along with other martial arts.
Hope you stick around.
Those were the days. You certainly worked with the best.
