Dear Friends,
any info would be highly appreciated.
Thanks.
Russian Concussion.
On second thoughts, could this title be the Junior heavyweight champion and not the Midheavyweight title?
I saw George Broadfield (normally billed as The Farmer) at Newcastle.
Very strong man, could be a bit rough, won most of his matches by knockout.
I would query the entry in the A-Z, which states that he was World Mid Heavy Weight Champion from 1947 to 1949.
I didn't think that there was a Mid Heavy classification before Norman Morrell thought of it in about 1952.
Could this be the Cruiserweight Title? Although I thought that this was equivalent to lightheavy.
He wrestled for many years as The Farmer's Boy and then The Farmer.
In the late 1940's he was the Northern Area heavyweight champion. Looks like he was billed as World Jr Heavy champ for the Relwyskows.
