Just a shout out for a book I have written which will hopefully be launched late February 2022. Back in the summer of 1998 Martin Ruane aka Giant Haystacks invited me up to his home in Prestwich to work on an autobiography he wanted to write. He talked to me about his life, we got together a pitch to put forward to a publisher and we started putting stuff together. However, time was short. Within a few months Martin would be dead, I too would be in hospital with cancer and the project ended up on the cutting room floor as it were. However, now I have unearthed the work we did and put together this personal memoir of how a young fan was invited to the home of his wrestling hero, and the story Martin Ruane told me of his life. The book will be sold with all proceeds going to the Christies Cancer Hospital in Manchester. Its not a book about wrestling (although wrestling does feature) but is of how a unique figure battled through against the odds to become a British icon. The book will be availble exclusively online and I'll post the link on this forum when released if anybody is interested.

I look forward to this book, Eddie Rose.
