Just a guess, but these may have been one-fall contests. So you're looking at 15 falls total compared with 10-15 on a standard five match card (or some matches only having one fall but going to the time limit.)
One way to do it might have been to have short time limits (say three or four rounds) and say that in the event of a draw both men are eliminated. That way you'd have a logical explanation for the wrestlers going faster/"taking more risks" than in a standard contest.
Perhaps the oddest thing would be promoters paying out for so many wrestlers (plus any bonuses for people wrestling multiple times), which is presumably reflected in the price.
