I want to share this picture from an austrian newspaper. Its a great pic with an future austrian sport legend. You can see John (Ian) Campbell with an 11 year old Niki Stajković. This picture was taken july 1970. Campbell wrestled at this time in vienna at the famous heumarkt and was the winner of the 69 and 70 tournament. Stajković later was austrians all time best diver and one of the youngest ever at the olympics. He was 13th when he dives in munich 72. Unfortunatly in 2017 he was found dead drifting in a pool. He was 57.

When I started watching wrestling on TV in 1959 it was Campbell and Two Rivers I remember so well. They were so distinct. Campbell with his kilt.
I have found out in recent years that 1959 was the year they both came here , so I must have seen their first TV matches.
Campbell actually wrestled in North America before he wrestled pro here.
