I would dearly love to see the Kendo/Howes bout on tv when the mask first come off.Truly iconic.Does anyone know which arena and the year. Guessing about 1972/73.
I couldn't say again, because I didn't see them the first time, but there are several Bernard Murray matches i'd like to see (Street, Miquet, Boscik, Cortez).
The match which stood out for me from World of Sport wrestling was from a Dale Martin show where Adnam Al-Kaissie fought Lenny Hurst. I won't type any more about this as, when i did a couple of years back, a very unpleasant response from another reminiscer kept me away from contributing for just over a year.
I'm sure fellow contributors will not like me saying this, but the match I have enjoyed most on TV (and I have it on videotape but no video recorder on which to play it) was from a Vince Mc.Mahon show in the "attitude" era and featured Mae Young challenging Fabulous Moolah for the Wome's title following a pay per view in which Moolah had gained it from Ivory. In fact, no wrestler has impressed me to the extent that Mae Young did (although Joe Critchley probably comes a close second).
Dynamite Kid vs Rocco, not found this online, it finished in about round 2, the Kid delivered a head butt to a prone Rocco, and ended up with blood pouring from his own head (cleverly self inflicted I guess), the ref inspects his head and stops the bout, with the Kid and Rocco both wanting to continue and trying to get at each other.
Two of the greatest all-round pro wrestlers the world has ever seen, and in the space of around six minutes, told a great story and created incredible tension and excitement.
dynamite kid vs Rocco the match where Kent mention the knee injury Rocco sustained a few weeks before. A great hard hitting match so unlike the usual WOS matches at the time.
Only one? Difficult. I'd go back to 1966 and Ricky Starr v Steve Logan match on Cup Final Day simply because I remember enjoying it so much at the time.
The Kendo Vs Haystacks bout from 1977. I have definitely seen it online before but it doesn't seem to be on YouTube. It was from Bradford and eerily a man resembling the Yorkshire Ripper can be seen in the front row.
Kendo .v. Shirley as "The Battling Guardsman." Apparently the bout started before the bell, continued outside the ring, and Kendo even managed to bodyslam the Big Fella before Shirley was K.O.d with a knee to the mid section.
Still hoping eventually to get to view again many of the matches from the black and white era but that is an ongoing sore point
1951 November 3rd, Middlesborough Stadium, Baldwin v Armstrong. For the original silver Lord Mount Evans Hwt Belt and British Championship.
Finlay versus Rocco or Kendo versus Spiros Arion would have made an interesting Saturday night

Bert Royal versus Clayton Thompson.
Why was the end disturbing?
Frikki Alberta v Francis Sullivan May 1963 with its controversial and disturbing ending.
In her prime,(decades before WWE) Mae Young was probably the toughest lady wrestler of all-time

Mike Bennett versus Vincente Castella for the TV trophy the first match I remember well
Remember seeing Rocco vs Keith Martinelli at Liverpool with neither giving no quarter.A great contest.

McManus v Pallo Cup Final Day
I would like to have seen the televised tag match where Joe Critchley partnered Les Kellett in 1970.
I would also have liked to have seen n'Boa the Snakeman vs Colin Joynson in 1968.
Kendo .v. Shirley as "The Battling Guardsman." Apparently the bout started before the bell, continued outside the ring, and Kendo even managed to bodyslam the Big Fella before Shirley was K.O.d with a knee to the mid section.
Hi MM. Thanks for the info. Yeah any Hells Angels match would be a real treat.
Hi ROMEO!-I believe this Bout took place at CATTERICK in 1971-not long after KENDO'S T.V.
Debut against WAYNE BRIDGES!-Ironically I saw what I think was the next time KENDO and HOWES
Fought after this 'Unmasking-NAGASAKI removed the MASK Himself-and 90% of this follow-up Bout
was ACTUAL Wrestling rather than HOWES spending all his time trying to get the MASK off!
I do believe PETER/KENDO has some Footage from the CATTERICK Match!!
For me ANY COLOUR HELLS ANGELS Tag Match would be superb to see again!!- With AUDIO!!-
KENT WALTON!!
MAIN MASK
