I would say so for sure. Seen this lots at Belle Vue. A lot of the Lancashire towns towards the hills and over in Yorkshire the accent was as such that Breaks sounded like Breeeeks which was heard as Briggs. Look at this example in 1960. Jimmy and Al Dennison probably travelled over together to work these shows.
Over the next quarter of a century Breaks must have used the straight arm lift on Dennison hundreds of time
