Very impressed with his 1975 TV match versus Mike Brooks. This wrestler trained by Norman Walsh turned pro in 1967.Does anyone know if he is still with us in 2021?If he is then he can be added to sixties greats still with us list
As commented many times before one of a long line of fine wrestlers with just one or two TV appearances at a time when promoters repeatedly gave us stale matches with wrestlers approaching retirement and long past their sell by date
Johnny Peters had a second very impressive TV match versus Barry Douglas. It is now on You Tube
As noted before often repeated matches leads to the law of diminishing returns
I agree with you Peter. Joint Promotions used as small pool of wrestlers for tv, even some of their own men didn't get a look in, or very little.
Probably one of the reasons for the eventual decline in popularity
There were dozens of wrestlers working for the independents with no chance of getting on the tele who were every bit as good as those we watched on ITV.
That's true of many of the wrestlers on Heritage!!!
Sorry to hear that but now he is on You Tube he will posthumously become more famous worldwide than he ever was almost half a century ago
Very true Peter, which is why Heritage celebrates all those who made the sport a success, famous or not. Johnny Peters was from West Tanfield in North Yorkshire and is no longer with us.
