Two weeks ago we added the British Wrestlers Reunion Hall of Fame to the site. There was just one tribute missing and that omission has now been rectified with the addition of Johnny South.
Johnny South as a first class wrestler and a member of Panther's Gym in Manchester in the early '60s when I used to attend. I worked with him in the gym but only once on a show, in a tag match. He was fast, strong and master of many holds and throws. A class wrestler! Eddie Rose
Saw Johnny team up with Skull Murphy at the Royal Concert Hall against Double Trouble( Brick Crawford and Carl Wallace

Something you forgot to mention in your tribute- on 27th May 1999 the Legend Of Doom beat Marty Jones for the World Mid Heavyweight title at Colston Hall, Bristol (where All Star still had a monthly residency until 2003.)
Excellent match on You Tube versus Johnny Palance

Some of his best matches were broadcast by SC4

Another excellent Professional Wrestler not getting full recognition in this country but a stalwart of the German tournaments
