I was a friend of Peter when he and I were in the army serving our call up in around July 1960 Peter was a PTI or Physical training instructor. He organised a PT display team travelling around Maidstone where we were stationed, Peter was of course very good at all the flick flacks he used in the ring with his COUSIN Jon. Peter's name was actually Peter HANLON, I last saw Peter a few years later in Maidstone, and he told me that he was moving to Australia where he died fairly early. Peter was a very friendly nice guy . I missed his company.
Whilst Peter was a famous wrestler doing his National Service, there was also another famous amateure boxer serving with us as PTI his name was Larry O' Connel who went on to be a famous boxing referee.
A contender for the lightest bill ever in terms of the combined weights of the eight wrestlers?
