Yes the International Wrestling Agency was Oakeley. I suspect it was short lived. 1934 at Belle Vue was the start of Miss Looks tenure. It really took off in 1935.

A case went to court where Anaconda had to cry off because of injury and Oakeley let another promoter down. It went to court and Anaconda had been touted as a snake that can crush men. The judge said it was horrible exhibition and Anaconda clearly does not do what was advertised. Oakley had to pay a guinea.

AS far as matchmaking at Belle Vue goes. Doug Clark was matched four times with Jack Sherry. I don't think Clark would have accepted Oakeley organising this.

Oakley's version of how Sherry destroyed Clark in Blue Blood on the Mat is a distortion of the truth. I feel sure Miss Look after gaining some experience would have been capable of bringing over international stars on contracts . Indeed some lived here. Miss look pulled many of the best together but not all.

The ongoing Belle Vue series will show most of the bills through the thirties and examine the Rosters each season.

Yes , in late 1934 she took over Belle Vue and if you follow my current series in the newsletter you will get a feel for how brilliant she was as a creative business woman.
