We All know of the HASTINGS Contest between the Two Hardest Men in Professional Wrestling!
We've Discussed the Match-Viewed the Poster!-Also in One of his Audiences PETER has himself
Discussed and Recounted his Recollections of this Bout!
Tellingly and perhaps Crucially he also tells Us that after HASTINGS- He 'can't recall ever having
Wrestled LES again'!-So All this leads Us to believe that for whatever Reason-This was the ONLY Time
these Two met in a Wrestling Ring!
Well looking thru my Piles and Piles of Notes on KENDO's Fight Records-actually for Bouts against
BILLY HOWES-I came across this Entry that I must have seen somewhere in the Past and then duly
Recorded in the Notes:-
KENDO NAGASAKI vs. LES KELLETT-ALBERT HALL-STIRLING- FRIDAY 28.4/1972
Don't have a Programme for this to hand-MAY have somewhere Upstairs!-Don't Recall it though!
So is there anyway RON can check this out from his Excellent Galleries to possibly Authenticate this
or not?-Could it really be a 2ND Encounter between KENDO and LES??

Kellet v Nagasaki, possibly the most bizarre match I’ve heard of but I’d love to see it. Put me down for that along with the famous Preston v McManus bout The Count v Kendo and Rocco v Finlay. I can dream can’t I. Good post Adrian, hope you’re keeping well.
Hi MM. Can't find Nagasaki v Kellett on youtube.
Please do you have a link?
Thanks Main Mask. You and I are both being 100% open in the endeavour to move things along.
I don't at all want to be smartypants, your contributions are precious, but can we please agree with yourself: "relying on what PETER SAYS" is a great distraction.
We have to think for ourselves.
This is like the Times Cryptic Crossword.
Here we go again, Main Mask! 😗😗😗
Just because HASTINGS was their most famous bout (a Hastings fan is writing ...☺) it doesn't mean that HASTINGS was their only encounter.
Nice research to find a later bout. Just goes to show we mustn't be slaves to the book. This is the big lesson. An autobiography allows a one-way uninterrupted uncontradicted writing of history. In other areas this is called propaganda.
Does the boook imply that HASTINGS was their first meeting?
Add these:
1969
8th March in Leeds
6th November in Nottingham
1970
28th January in Scarborough
19th February in Paisley
I can relate to Nagasaki remembering only HASTINGS. The drop may have been the greatest in the country so Naggers would have been astonished at Les deciding to exit head first.
In my own work, I had tens of thousands of interactions with individuals. Most forgotten, very unfortunately. Just the very particular moments remain. HASTINGS clearly remains for Nagasaki.
