I have been looking for a Masked lady wrestler , who used the initials K.K. when wearing a mask. She wrestled in Germany and France in 1976. Any idea who she could of been ?
The best one I saw was Princess Paula Valdez against Klondyke Kate at the Wirrina, Peterborough, in 1992 or thereabouts. It was a villain vs villain match but Paula was so vicious she turned Kate blue-eye for the night! Seriously, the crowd were wincing, grimacing and showing genuine concern for someone they thought they would be booing. After the show, Paula spoke to me and was all smiles but no one else dared go near her!
For me the best women's bout ever would have to be Manami Toyota vs Aja Kong at the 1994 Egg Dome the whole show was brilliant, not a bad match on it, but these two ladies were at the top of their game and excelled in this bout, its on YouTube so have a look for it, the rematch the following year was pretty special too.
Probably Mae Young in her prime. Even not in her prime, it was a huge thrill to see her at The Kensington Olympia some years back seconding The Kat in an arm wrestling contest against Terri Runnels seconded by Fabulous Moolah.
Probably the best British bout I witnessed was on a disastrous (financially) show promoted by Alan Miquet at The Wythenshawe Forum where I was engaged as timekeeper. Mitzi Mueller versus Paula Valdez. Good, clean, fast-moving wrestling throughout.
There is no doubt that Trudy Saturn was the nicest lady wrestler I promoted but the best by quite a long way was Nikki Munroe.
