Sad news comes in quick succession these days. Our Heritage friend Meru Ullah died on 16th December. Many will remember him as a very good middleweight in the late 1960s and 1970s.
Fortunately Meru made arrangements for us to be informed about his death. Which brings us to a sensitive issue that has been raised from time to time. In the sad event of that inevitable day arising we urge all members and wrestlers to make arrangements for friends on this forum to be informed.
Courtesy of Wiki. where there is a (huge) amount of information on the Dragons Den. Another unsuccessful pitch, was that for a wrestling academy! I also notice that today, you can purchase, rear view horse mirrors on line. The mirrors can also be used for other activities, such as rowing, cycling, etc.
He went under my Southern radar; but sounds like a smashing fellow.
RIP.
We have received this message from Margaret Cuxton, a Lay Minister at All Saints Church, Church Lawton.
"Meru was a lovely member of my congregation. His funeral took place on 17th January at All Saints Church, Church Lawton. The church was full."
The match versus Johnson in Llandudno in January 1970 seems a mismatch

Very interesting bio. Unfortunately you give his date of death as eleven months time-December 2025!
It's good to know someone is paying attention.
RIP Meru Ullah
