For those who didn't read my stories in 'MEMORIES' I'll recall how one day mum, dad and I travelled to Brighton to see the wrestling that night. In the afternoon I pointed out the Donlevy brothers to my dad, who quickly suggested to mum she go shopping and we'd meet up later. The two of us then followed the Irish lads, both of us I'm sure, thinking we were two private eyes on a case. The guys wandered around for some time, ending up in a 24 hour cinema showing nothing but cartoons. We sat behind Mike and Semus who seemed to be enjoying Micky, Donald and Goofy, until Dad suggested we take our leave. I think he was disappointed we hadn't followed them to their 'wrestling match rehearsal room' !
I remember the guys fought the Fisher brothers in singles matches that night. The boys always gave value for money.
Very sorry indeed to hear this sad news. Rest in Peace, Mike.
We have now added a tribute to Mickey Dunleavy, known as Mike Donlevy

No, Ron, he wasn't on either list. Just goes to show how incomplete those listings are in spite of our collective input.
RIP Mike Dunleavy (Was he on the 1950's list)
