It's a never ending problem for us fans. Those wrestlers who used more than one name for all sorts of reasons and sometimes for a short time, but still adding to confusion.
Well, we've had a good stab at untangling the web. We hope this will be a work in progress and that members will be able to add to the list and (heavens forbid) put us right where we've gone wrong.
Multiple names is one of today's seven new additions to the website.
About a year ago, there was a posting which included an extract from a programme for a show in Melton (presumably Mowbray) which included a Leo Lapaqua from Finland, and I suggested that it may have been one of the Lapaque brothers given the proximity to Leicester, but I don't think we ever got it confirmed. However, I notice that Pete evidently used the name "Helsinki Express" at some point, so was he Leo?
Also note that Clay Thomson is listed as "The Executioner" - wasn't he The Exorcist (Mark II)?
Thanks Mad Mac. We thought that our Black Jack alias was good enough but you've taken us to new levels 😁. Yes Judd was Gunboat. Now sorted. As for Bearcat. Probably overlooked because we see he's missing from the A-Z. We've updated the Multiple Names and added him to the A-Z things to do list.
Thanks. This is just the sort of feedback needed,
I think we established a while ago that Larry Coulton was also billed as Jack Mulligan, Bearded Black Mulligan and various permutations thereof. Also noted Bruno listed as having the alias of Gunboat Harris - wasn't that Judd? How about Bernie Wright as "Bearcat"?
