The main BBC1 Evening News for 27 December 2020 included news of the death of John Huber(Brodie Lee) a Professional Wrestler from the States. I found this surprising because the only other example of a main stream national channel covering the death of a wrestler certainly in the twenty first century was unfortunately Jimmy Saville

Sad Times.Feel for his wife and family.
Yes I would agree, although he was reasonably high profile in WWE who he joined after gaining a reputation as a good solid wrestler in Chikara, but 41 is no age to die, he leaves behind a wife and 2 children .
I don't watch too much Wrestling on TV, but remember him as Luke Harper in WWE.
I think with AEW being shown on ITV, he is probably a little better known than in his WWE days maybe.
Other wrestlers deaths have been pick up by mainstream press, the thing about Jon Huber was he held a title in AEW just a couple of months ago when the health problem was discovered, he dropped the title in the ring, then started treatment which unfortunately was unsuccessful. So he was a current fairly high profile wrestler hence the interest and we have more wrestling shows available to us now than ever before hence the higher profile.
