Came across this ex wrestler quite by chance a few years back when I bought something from him on eBay. We had a little chat about his wrestling days and found out he’s now a country and western singer with his own band. A lovely bloke with a good sense of humour. Id be interested to hear more about him if anyone has any info?
Thanks.
Considering he had such an impressive match versus Viedor it is amazing he went twelve years before reappearing on TV
Nice! Thank you.
Here he is wrestling Veidor in '75:
It's a while since I saw that. Thoroughly enjoyable. Dixon put on some good shows when he was brought in towards the end. I have fond memories of Tony St.Clair as he appeared on my very first promotional outing back in 1976.
Nice one Ron. I did see this a long time ago but it was good to watch it again. Have to say that match is a fine example of what made Tony St Clair such a great wrestler. Thanks again Mate.
If you have not seen it , then here he is Frank
Neil Sands comes (or came, at least whilst coranavirus continues unabated) to my neck of the woods each Christmas with a touring show of festive songs and he also has a patriotic show featuring the songs of World War II. He comes to Stockport's Plaza and either Manchester's Palace or Opera House. I've not attended either of them although I did see him wrestle many times. I believe a back injury put paid to his wrestling career. I recall seconding him once for Brian Dixon (he fought Abe Ginsberg at The Civic Hall, Middleton) and he seemed a pleasant-enough fellow.

Others will no doubt give you some of their memories.
