Sorry folks, I'm back on this man again.
I have re-read Norman's write up in the A-Z a few times. I just noticed that most of the other wrestlers have their date of death at the end of the tribute. He doesn't.
Do we have a D. O. D. for Norman please?
Another good result for you Bernard. Osty got you a look at the Ghoul's face , Heritage has been good to us all. And for me You will always be the Heritage Champ. We had some great debates years back , and we do still have a few today.
Thank you Bernard, for keeping Norman's memory so prominent on this website. Great to see a tribute to him here now.
Many thanks to Ron and anyone else who contributed to this thread.
I met Norman's daughter Jackie a couple of times but she seemed to leave this site a while ago.
Thanks folks.
Could Mrs. Coldbeck, be "Colbeck"?
Looks like maybe Dicky Swales. Mr and Mrs Dennison ???
How sad that in that long list of mourners I can't see any mention of anyone from the wrestling business.
A lovely write-up for a deserving wrestler.
However ,once again we don't know of what or how Norman died .
Anyone got any thoughts or offers please?
It's long overdue, but today we have added a tribute page to Norman Walsh.
One to excite Bernard.
That's interesting, isn't it? Empire title not World as in previous photo.
Mind you the promoters could have said anything in those days. News travels faster and easier now.
This looks like the same belt Ruslan, in South Africa.
Dear The Main Mask could you please check in your collection whether there is a pic of Walsh with his South African belt in there? My interest is in a good quality pic of the belt. Thanks in advance. R
Convinced that early death in 1978 is right. reading the A-Z Norman had a pub out near Thirsk , so not only does the death have his date of birth recorded , but also place of death is right. No mention in any papers I have access to of any reports on this.
Hi Ron. I don't know. Sorry I can't help you. I only saw him once after I came out of the RAF and moved to Welwyn Garden city. We lost touch.
Bernard , does 1978 seem right to you. It looks pretty clear that this was him.
I have not got the exact date Bernard , but Norman's death was registered in the 1st three months of 1978 in Thirsk district. This entry matches his date of birth.
Sorry Bernard I can't help you with that. I do have a date of birth 14th February, 1920.
Isn't it time he had a full page tribute? Get your thinking cap on Bernard.
