On 19th August 1975 the death of Jim Londos.
Golden Greek and former World heavyweight champion Jim Londos came to Britain on 26th October, 1937, to wrestle George Pencheff in a match described as "Catch as Catch Can," and decidedly not "All In." The Daily Mirror reported a clean and gruelling contest following which barefooted victor, Londos, was carried shoulder high back to the dressing room. In what is believed to be his only other match outside of London Londos defeated Jack Pye at Liverpool Stadium, a match promoted by William Bankier.

MAIN MASK
Kendo had now hit the TV Screen and Bartelli was now free of the mask enjoying more exposure. Five years after the unmasking here they are again on a pretty decent bill.
I would have been there but never saw this one in the papers.

Yes Bill, but we shouldn't be too sure as even drab bills on paper had a habit of turning into stonkers.
Romany was so skilled he could easily have enraged the whole audience for the entire evening, and with him always having a gaggle of (what seemed a hundred and-) twelve family members in tow, all shouting for him, the atmosphere would have been good. But I agree that Pete Roberts and Tony Charles stank as Kellett fodder but were repeatedly used. Lord knows why the promoters couldn't see that, and simply put him in there with Tug or Czeslaw....
Hope you are well.
Cassio beat Kellett!!! There's one for his daughter to brag about. Does anyone know how to contact her by any chance?
Further disregard for balance here with four heavyweight bouts. Poor work.
Working overseas, on this day, "Mr. TV" himself, Jackie Pallo, was in winning form, beating Nino Pizarro in Barcelona, Spain, on this day in 1962.
