"...Jules Kiki! A real revelation these last two years. He had been bubbling under the surface but was clearly absolutely everywhere. Even masked!!! Thanks Ron..."
Can't remember if we ever talked about this, but Jules Kiki (as Jules Ki-Ki) had an uncredited appearance in the 1961 Hammer film, "The Terror of the Tongs", along with Milton Reid.
Must have a been a great life, being a Wrestler in the golden era, as much work as you wanted, international travel (if you wanted it), bit parts in films and TV, rubbing shoulders with film stars.
Was it Joe Murphy? I just assumed that it was Skull Murphy (Pete Northey). I've always seen Joe billed as "Ironjaw". Unforunately I can't read the word under his name.

Tiny Iron Jaw Joe in with Judo Pete really is a concern.
And as for McManus v Colbeck, you are sending shivers down my spine, Main Mask. Dont get me wrong, they worked a good bout ... the first six times you see it. Then it used to get a bit samey.
Today's local lad working overseas is the one and only Giant Haystacks, taking on Goldie Rodgers and Bobby Fulton, in a 2-on-1 match in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, on this day, in 1980.
What excellent descriptions of the wrestlers on the 1940 poster
Same date and same year but earlier to bed in Lincoln.
Wrestling overseas today, John Foley defeated Duncan McTavish in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada, on this day in 1972.
On our TV screens, on this day in 1972 (Late night, midweek show):-
Mike Marino (1) v Rocky Wall (1)

MM , The Red Devil knocked the Black Owl out, although the Owl had been winning.
It's text book stuff , so Owl challenged Devil to a Mask v Mask match which took place a month later.
The Black Owl (Loser) proved to be Jules Kiki.
Another Preston Classic
