In 1969 here at Tonbridge. We include this poster because it was sent to us earlier today by Bobby England who wrote to say how many great memories he had of working with Tony Bates and how much he had enjoyed The Casino Kid.
Five years earlier, 1964 in Marylebone.
And over to Bognor in 1978 for an unusual yet formidable tag combination

The show on 23rd October, 1975 was Morrell Beresford and two weeks later was Best Wryton. By 1975 Max was running much of the country and demarcation lines were becoming blurred.
I wonder when Wryton (or Best/Wryton in the above) took over from Morrell at Nottingham.
Our overseas Wrestler today is Pete Roberts, who was wrestling on this day in 1975 in (you guessed it), Japan!
Pete teamed with Dave “Canadian Wildman” McKigney and Brute Bernard, in a losing effort to Antonio Inoki, Osamu Kido and Kantaro Hoshino, in Osaka, Japan.
On our TV screens, on this day in 1962
Julien Morice (W) v Mick McMichael
Iskha Khan (KO) v Johnny Yearsley
