Rann v Faulkner and Yearsley v Sharron, tasty stuff.
I'm wondering what mid-seventies Goldbelt thought about the ongoing choice for his poster photo? He cut a strikingly different figure in the ring at that time.
Anglo Italians Hastings programme has that production line feel of so many DM bills of that time. Tge 1964 DM programme is much more interesting. Its refreshing to see northerners billed against Southern opponents who they would be less familiar with. By the end of the decade wrestlers so often travelled to another part of the country to be paired with a familiar opponent from the same part of the country who he had probably travelled with. I didn't want to see Hayes v Bridges in Lancashire, I wanted Hayes v Wall, Joyce, Robinson, Hussey ....
Tony Charles had worked for DM up to 1962 and been on TV a few times. No surprise he was poached by Lincoln. More of a surprise that he didn't stay and by 1964 was back with Dales.
