During a recent vacation in Shetland I got talking to a native who was a big fan of Clayton Thomson but never got to attend any of his matches because the nearest live events were in Aberdeen twelve hours away by ship. This led me to consider if there are any posters for events in Lerwick or were the Shetlands a Pro Wrestling free zone?

Pleased that the latest thread answers this question conclusively.
Very small planes between Aberdeen and Sumburgh
Hangman Shane Stevens mentioned taking some wrestlers there for a show in the early 1990s. He told me that Scrubber Daly required two seats on the plane.
Would be great if you could find it
that's what I was saying if tge venue isn't a big enough capacity to cover costs it doesn't work, this includes transport costs. I am pleased the gentleman hot his wrestling albeit in another country.
Lerwick has a community hall but transporting the ring and wrestlers in a twenty four hour round trip would be very expensive.
Ironically the fan I spoke to joined the armed forces and ended up posted near Hanover during the annual tournament and had the potential then to attend nightly events
would the Shetlands have a venue big enough to have made it financially viable, that would have probably been the biggest stumbling block to wrestling being held there.
