A query: are Ray's results (as referred to frequently in threads here on Heritage) available online somewhere or are they only held by a small group of trusted people? I have some results which Ray used to send me by post at one stage but I know he did years and years of research after that. I wonder whether the fruits of that research are available more widely?
They would appear to be a valuable resource which would be of great help to many people researching wrestling both now and in the future.
Thanks for the information bjh99 - sorry for late reply I have been away.
I hope that Ray's hard work will be preserved for all to use rather than just being available to a few enthusiasts who are lucky to have the complete set of results.
All of us will eventually pass on and it would be good if the results were freely available to all in this as well as future generations of wrestling researchers.
Would anyone else care to throw any light on this?
I used to go with Ray for a coffee about once a month in Norwich.
I only asked for and got the St James Hall results from start to finish.
I have some other bills and a CD with bills from the 1940's and 50's.
However the point of this is to say that the last time I saw Ray he told me that he had over 80,000 (eighty thousand) results.
I asked him what he was going to do with them and he said that he didn't know.
