Bob Roop was an American amateur wrestler who represented the USA in Greco Roman Wrestling at the 1968 Olympic Games. Started out in Florida as a pro, and was the bloke that young rookies had to get in the training ring with, to see if they had what it takes to enter the business.
I remember seeing him on some obscure mid 80's US video tapes (when video rental stores were all the rage).
I didn't realise he had ventured over here.
