Main Mask's Greenford poster shows Sky Hi Lee wrestling in March 1968.
He never appeared on tv but was a big name draw on Paul Lincoln Promotions. We know he was a bit of a hell-raiser in real life, perhaps a bit to hot for Dale Martin to handle? I cannot recall him ever appearing on a Joint Promotions bill - am I wrong?
After the January 1966 merger, most Lincoln wrestlers moved over to Dale Martins either on a long-term basis (Kirkwood, Bridges) of just for a few years (Steadman, Kendo, Wild Man of Borneo).
I had imagined that Ski Hi Lee had disappeared just before this merger, back to El Paso, Texas. But this sighting clearly tells us differently.
If he really was the Oliver Reed of sixties wrestling, he probably has an interesting story, one which we haven't yet explored in any detail.
I would like to start by tracing his dates of UK activity - can anyone help?
I have some photos of him working in the pub, but they are a bit sombre, especially if you remember how he looked as a wrestler.
